3 trade targets for Warriors to solidify title pursuit

NBA Analysis Network

The Golden State Warriors came into the offseason with lofty expectations. After losing in the NBA Play-In Tournament to the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, they wanted to upgrade their roster in a big way.

Armed with multiple assets, Golden State had the ammunition to pull off a blockbuster trade. They had two lottery picks in this year’s draft and James Wiseman, the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, as centerpieces of a deal.

They worked the phones tirelessly but ended up making the No. 7 and No. 14 selections themselves. With those picks, they landed Jonathan Kuminga from the G League Ignite and Moses Moody out of Arkansas.

While the draft is now behind us, NBA free agency is here and the Warriors can still make some moves.

While they won’t be big players there, as they do not have salary cap space to spend, they did lock up Stephen Curry to a max extension and signed Nemanja Bjelica away from the Miami Heat.

Despite what will likely be a quiet free agency, the team can still make a trade to upgrade their roster. Here are three win-now trade targets the Warriors should pursue.
