Agent claims Liverpool and Spurs tried to sign 19-year-old who can ‘turn into a Neymar’

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool tried and failed to sign a certain Brazilian teenager this summer, it has been claimed.

Kaio Jorge, at 19, is one of the most exciting young players coming out of South American football right now.

That is evident by the fact that Juventus have just signed the striker.

But his agent, Andrea Bagnoli, has told Calciomercato that Tottenham and Liverpool were also interested in the starlet, whom his representative describes as a mix between Roberto Firmino and Lautaro Martinez.

He said: “I know that he was followed with interest by Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Tottenham, but all the top clubs were informed. A little Lautaro, a little Firmino; he is a player with their characteristics, but by finding him the right position and giving him experience he can also turn into a Neymar.”

Neymar 2.0?

You can’t blame Spurs and Jurgen Klopp’s side for reportedly being interested because this kid very much seems like the real deal.

Pay no heed to the Neymar stuff because honestly, every talented player to come out of Brazil is compared to the Paris Saint-Germain attacker and very rarely does it yield any justification in the years to come.

But Juventus is a perfect club for Jorge to learn his trade, playing with and learning from a certain Cristiano Ronaldo every day.
