Alyssa Milano is counting her blessings after a terrifying automobile accident.
The “Charmed” actress was involved in a car crash on Tuesday, August 17.
Her uncle, Mitch, was operating the vehicle on a Los Angeles freeway at the time of the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
He suffered from a medical emergency while driving, went unconscious and veered into another lane of traffic. The vehicle, a Ford Edge, collided with another car, per law enforcement sources.
Alyssa Was Fast Acting!
Alyssa was in the passenger seat and used her hand to press on the brake bringing the car to a stop.
Sources say she started giving her uncle CPR until medical personnel arrived on scene to help. Her uncle is still being treated in a nearby hospital, adding that she wanted to thank medical staffers for coming to his aid.
Later on in the evening, Alyssa took to Twitter to express the importance of knowing how to care for others.
She wrote, “We should all take every opportunity we have to protect the people we love. Get vaccinated. Wear masks. Lock up your guns. Learn CPR. Small. Common-sense actions.”

Alyssa continued her plea writing, “It’s not hard to take care of each other, but it is important.”
Friends and fans of her responded to her tweet writing comments such as, “Every word of this,” and “Those really are good things to know/practice. Some prevent accidents, some save lives after accidents. And of course, some save lives. Thanks.”
She, like many, have been outspoken about the Coronavirus pandemic and mask mandates.
On August 13 she tweeted, “I went on CNN International to discuss covid vaccine inequality and UNICEF’s mission to get vaccines from tarmac into the arms of the world’s most vulnerable.
As previously mentioned, Alyssa isn’t the only Hollywood starlet to express their deep disturbance with the state of the world.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently issued a statement about the ongoing pandemic, the tragedies in Haiti and Afghanistan.
The couple wrote, “The world is exceptionally fragile right now. As we all feel the many layers of pain due to the situation in Afghanistan, we are left speechless. As we all watch the growing humanitarian disaster in Haiti, and the threat of it worsening after last weekend’s earthquake, we are left heartbroken.”

Their statement continued, “And as we all witness the continuing global health crisis, exacerbated by new variants and constant misinformation, we are left scared. When any person or community suffers, a piece of each of us does so with them, whether we realize it or not.”
