Is your home clearly numbered or does it have a sign showing off the property name?

If the answer is no, you might want to consider finding a way to display your number outside as soon as possible – as it could save your life one day.

This warning comes from a caring Amazon delivery driver from the US who was captured on a doorbell camera explaining why it’s important to have house markers.

The woman was delivering a package to the house Jessica Huseman had just moved into, though the parcel seems to be for the previous tenant, Jennifer.

In a clip shared to TikTok, the Amazon driver approaches the house and puts the delivery down outside.

She can be heard saying in a sing-song voice: “Hello Jennifer, I hope your Monday’s going well. You have no markers on your house that says what number you are.

“And that is hard to find your house my dude and it’s unsafe, honestly.

“What if you needed medical assistance and the paramedics didn’t know your town well, come on.

“Have a great day!”

The Amazon driver then walks away back to her vehicle.

Jess captioned the post: “We just moved in and this happened today… she’s not wrong though. Guess I need to get some house numbers.”

The video has since gone viral, being viewed over three million times and garnering more than 740,000 likes.

Thousands also took the time to comment, with many praising the Amazon worker for helping to ‘save lives’.

One person wrote: “Retired paramedic. She is 100 per cent correct. Protect yourself and get some large numbers on your house and mail box. If it’s out front, spray paint on curb too.”

Another replied: “This is proof that you can give advice without being rude about it. You go my dude.”

“This is a person who cares about people, we need more of her,” proclaimed a third.

Someone else posted: “Not all heroes wear capes… delivery with a message of safety song. Amazing service!!!”

After the post went viral, the Amazon driver revealed herself and also joined TikTok.
