The pair have left fans wondering how their love story will unfold on the during the show’s finale episode, and did their romance end in a proposal.

Are Riley Christian and Maurissa Gunn together?

The dynamic couple who shared love at first sight is reportedly still together after Riley Christian popped the question in the final episode.

There has been speculation since August 2021 that Riley Christian and Maurissa Gunn end up together at the end of Bachelor in Paradise.

Steve Carbone revealed in his blog Reality Steve, three couples made it to the end. 

According to Steve, Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt, Kenny Braasch and Mari Pepin, and Riley Christian and Maurissa Gunn all get engaged in the finale. 

There is speculation if Maurissa and Riley are still together after the big season finale.

Steve wrote on August 24, 2021 that although they have not been seen publicly, they “have seen each other.”

How did their romance begin?

At the beginning of season 7, Maurissa was dating Connor Brennan first, but when Riley showed up, it was game over.

The couple was inseparable throughout the season after Riley showed up with a date card for Maurissa.

During their first date, Maurissa opened up about her previous struggles with her weight and body image.

She confessed that she had gained 80 pounds during a tough time in her life and that people treated her differently because of it.

Riley assured her that she’s “beautiful now” and that though he did not know her at the time, she was “beautiful then” too.

At the end of the date, the two sealed their day in ‘The Boom Boom Room.’

Who left Bachelor in Paradise single?

It was originally reported by Steve that Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer were the “it” couple this season.

However, Noah broke up with Abigail before the overnight date, saying she was “not his person.”

Abigail said afterward, “My entire paradise is Noah. I don’t know why Noah picked tonight to have this conversation.”

Both of them left the show single but many are speculating they might get back together post-show. 

Another pair who called it quits was Brendan Morais and Pieper James despite deciding to leave together as a couple before overnight dates.

Brendan and Pieper had been dating before Bachelor in Paradise began filming, but Brendan started dating Natasha Parker. She later accused him of “biding his time” until Pieper came on the show.

Eventually, both Pieper and Brendan decided to exit the show, and Pieper said she had no regrets. “It is what it is, and it happened,” she said during New York Fashion Week in September 2021.

There was a love triangle between Kenny Braasch, Demi Burnett, and Mari Pepin. Kenny ultimately chose Mari since they left together engaged.

Meanwhile, Ivan hall was sent home after he broke production protocol. On September 24, 2021, Ivan was found to have used a producer’s phone to call Chelsea Vaughn who was due to join the show in the coming days.

Ivan snuck out late at night to join Chelsea in her hotel room, resulting in his prompt exit from the show.

Some others that left the show single were Victoria Paul, Tia Booth, and Kendall Long.

Seeing Joe with another woman was a hard pill for Kendall to swallow, which reportedly lead to self-elimination. 

A relationship also formed between Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs, the villain of Katie Thurston’s Bachelorette journey. 

However, it is unclear why Kufrin broke up with him before the finale.

The season 7 finale will air on ABC on October 5, 2021, and can be streamed on Hulu and FuboTV.
