Arnold Schwarzenegger is sick of telling everyone, “Get The Vaccination NOW!”
The “Terminator” star recently issued a PSA of his own taking aim at anti-vaxxers.
The Delta variant of Covid-19 is running rampant across the United States, and restrictions are being put back into place in an attempt to curb the spread of the virus.
On Wednesday, August 11, Arnie took to his personal YouTube channel and spoke with Col. Alex Vindman and Bianna Golodryga to talk about the importance of getting the Covid-19 vaccine.
Don’t ride dirty, get vaxxed!
He titled the video, “With Freedom comes Responsibility.”
While discussing how he first reacted to the pandemic when it started, Arnold explained he was issuing hand washing statements to his social media accounts, messages about social distancing and mask wearing.
However, fast forward a year-and-a-half later and the US is still in the midst of the pandemic.
“Cut a year-and-a-half later we are still in a mess and there’s still people living in denial, there’s still people that don’t believe in masks,” the Governator said.
Arnold likened the knowledge of the scientists and doctors out there to his own understanding of the bicep.
“I’m an expert in how to build a bicep, and so therefore I know exactly what I am talking about. I’ve studied this issue…there’s no one that knows more about a bicep than I do, because I studied this issue for 50 years. And the same is also with the virus. The people that are out there that are experts that studied this year after year after year… I mean why would you NOT believe someone like that,” he expressed.
The “Kindergarten Cop” actor went on to reiterate that there is a virus here and the only way to prevent it is to get vaccinated, wear masks, social distance and wash your hands.
He then turned his attention to those out there who claim their freedom is being taken away by having to wear a mask and social distance.
“And not just to think about ‘well my freedom is being kind of disturbed here.’ No, screw your freedom,” he said defiantly. “Because with freedom comes obligations and responsibilities. We can’t just say, ‘I have the right to X,Y and Z. When you infect other people that is when it gets serious. “
He whipped out another great analogy comparing getting vaccinated to a traffic light.
Red Light, Green Light, Vaxxed, Not Vaxxed!
Arnold explained there are traffic lights in place so people don’t hurt or kill someone accidentally, which is exactly why there is the Covid-19 vaccine, so people don’t infect and kill others on accident.
“You cannot say, ‘No one is going to tell me that I’m going to stop here, that I have to stop at this traffic light here. I’m going to go right through it.’ Yeah, then you kill someone else and then it is your doing. So, this is the same thing with the virus. You cannot go and not put the mask on, because when you breathe you can infect someone else and you can infect someone else who then gets sick and may die,” Arnold explained.
He urged everyone to come together, work together and stop fighting one another. The only way, he believes the virus will go away is if we work together and get vaccinated.
Also, to all the “shmucks” out there not wearing a mask… Arnold doesn’t approve.
