Barbara Corcoran, entrepreneur from “Shark Tank” Publicly Apologizes to Whoopi Goldberg

Barbara Corcoran, the famous entrepreneur from “Shark Tank,” recently found herself facing the rage of “The View” fans after she body-shamed Whoopi Goldberg.

It all took place on the latest episode of the show, in which Corcoran was a guest and was talking about Emma Grede, the founder and CEO of denim brand Good American.

The 72-year-old was praising Grede regarding her business and how she will become the very first Black female guest in the history of “Shark Tank” when it all went down, and the video has gone viral.

Co-host Sunny Hostin was raving about the Good American jeans and how size-inclusive they were when Goldberg said she would have to try them.

Body-shaming is one of the most common forms of bullying.

She then asked if they would fit her COVID-19 bottom, and was assured by Hostin and Ana Navarro that they would. However, Corcoran made quite a distasteful comment towards the famous actress:

“When you get finished with those jeans, and decide you don’t like them, give them to me. I’m gonna make two pairs.”

The businesswoman’s words clearly caught Goldberg off-guard, as the camera showed her looking quite surprised and unamused, but Navarro quickly jumped in and took a jab at Corcoran’s dress:

“Whoopi, let me just tell you something. Both Sara Haines and Jill Biden wore that dress already, on TV.”

Fans were quick to praise Navarro for stepping in and defending Goldberg, claiming the “Shark Tank” alum went too far and describing her comment as “cruel and uncalled for.”

Following the backlash, Corcoran took to her official Twitter account on Thursday to address the situation and apologize to Goldberg, who she claims to be friends with.

The businesswoman praised the “Sister Act” star for her “phenomenal sense of humor” but recognized that she made a joke at her expense and that it was not funny.

Aside from apologizing to Goldberg and telling her she loves her, the 72-year-old also apologized to anyone she may have unintentionally offended while on the show.

Body-shaming is one of the most common forms of bullying and several celebrities have already spoken against it, such as Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who has been a victim of haters online due to her weight.
