TV Shows Ace previously reported a sneak peek at Below Deck Season 9. The forthcoming season is just as crazy as the last. There’s also a new face once again. Fans will get to know new chief stew Heather Chase. This comes as a shock to fans who enjoyed watching Francesca Rubi in the previous season.
She has since moved on from the yachting industry. Back in April, Francesca shared that she has a new gig. She wants to explore her other passion. She took to Instagram to announce that’s undergoing a course to become a Pilates Instructor.
Heather Chase’s Below Deck Med connection
That means that Below Deck Season 9 will have a new chief stew yet again. For some reason, this show is not having much luck. Most of the chief stews are leaving in favor of other careers. Last year, Below Deck alum Kate Chastain announced her departure from the series. This new chief already has a connection to the franchise.
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 5 star Alex Radcliffe shared his excitement for new chief stew Heather Chase. The two know each other. Alex sure has a long list of female friends from this show alone. The deckhand is so charming that he also had plenty of bromances on the show. He recently took to Instagram to congratulate his friend on her new job.
“So pumped the secret is out that one of my best friends in the yachting world is the chief stew of the new season of [Below Deck],” Alex wrote on Instagram on Thursday, August 19. “I can honestly say she’s one of the most genuine/ kind hearted [humans] I know.”
He shared a photo of himself alongside the blonde beauty. Both of them held glasses filled with red wine. Alex wore a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black baseball cap worn backward. Meanwhile, Heather wore a white long-sleeve T-shirt. Both of them wore black pants.
They snapped the photo while in West Palm Beach, Florida. Heather took to the post to comment, “Cats out of the bag” and “You’re the best along” along with the hashtag “More wine nights please.”

Below Deck Med alum Anastasia Surmava took notice of Alex’s Instagram post. She worked double-duty as a chef and stew in Season 4. She commented with several heart eyes emojis. Anastasia took to her Instagram Stories to share her excitement for Heather’s upcoming season.
“My girl is the new chief, [y’all]!” she wrote in a photo of Heather sandwiched between Captain Lee Rosbach and Chef Rachel Hargrove. “Love you, [Heather]. So damn proud of you!!!!”

Heather is not the only newbie on board. She joins other new stews Fraser Olender and Jessica Albert and new deckhands Jake Foulger, Rayna Lindsay, and Wes O’Dell. Rachel Hargrove and Eddie Lucas will make their return. Eddie has been promoted to the first officer.
Captain Lee will also return to My Seanna. However, the season will premiere with Captain Sean Magher, who temporarily steps in as Lee is delayed by another health setback. Below Deck Season 9 premieres on Monday, September 25. In the meantime, Alex and Anastasia appear on Below Deck Mediterranean Galley Talk on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
