BET Networks President Scott Mills and wife Iva are divorcing

BET Networks President Scott Mills and his wife, Iva Mills, are divorcing, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

Iva filed for divorce from the media executive in June 2020 but proceedings are still ongoing, with the estranged couple having recently come to an agreement over child custody in July.

“We’re happy the parents were able to resolve custody,” Iva’s attorney, Marilyn Chinitz, told Page Six on Wednesday. “We hope the financial agreement will be resolved, too.”

Scott’s attorney, Nancy Chemtob, also told us that Scott and Iva will share joint legal custody of their two children and the parents will enjoy “nearly equal” physical time with them. Scott will also pay Iva child support.

As for the finances, the now-former couple might face an uphill battle, as a source told us that there is no prenuptial agreement in place.

During his role as executive vice president and CEO of Viacom, Scott earned a reported total of nearly $7 million in 2018, according to the Economic Research Institute, so Iva could be entitled to a substantial portion of his vast fortune.

A source also told us that “everything is up for grabs” in their divorce, including real estate, because of the lack of prenup. According to real estate records obtained by Page Six, the two own a 4-bedroom, 2-and-a-half bath apartment valued at $5.4 million in New York City’s Upper West Side that they purchased in 2013.

Separately, Scott has another 3-bedroom, 3-and-a-half bath apartment in the same building worth an estimated $3.1 million.

The estranged couple sold their Bethesda, Maryland, manse in 2013 for $2.43 million.
