Billy Connolly’s wife Pamela Stephenson has told fans she is proud of him as he launched his new autobiography.
Pamela, who has been married to comedian Billy since 1989, couldn’t contain her excitement as the Scotsman launched his new book ‘Billy Connolly windswept and interesting: My autobiography’.
It’s the stand-up legend’s first full-length autobiography where he reveals the truth behind his windswept and interesting life.
In a video clip to promote the book, Pamela told fans: “Proud of Billy! In his own words! ‘Happy Billy Day”
Fans were thrilled to hear Pam’s praise of the comedy legend and gushed that they can’t wait to read the book.
Author Damian Barr said: “This fair made me well up.”
Another fan said: “Wonderful! I was just telling someone the other day the one time I was lucky enough to cross paths with Billy. It was on the Arran ferry and he helped someone’s elderly Labrador up the steep stairs. If it wasn’t already clear he was a good, kind person, that confirmed it for me!”
Someone else added: “I’m so buying this! After loving him for years while growing up I finally got to see him live for his high horse tour. I can’t express just how much love I have for him, his comedy has helped me through some really dark times I hope he knows how much he’s loved by everyone!”
And another commented: “Please give the big fella my best wishes. Bloody legend of a chap. And the best to you too madam.”
