Britney Spears might be saying goodbye to her conservatorship team soon — but there is one person she won’t be letting go of.

Multiple TMZ sources revealed that the pop superstar wants Jodi Montgomery — who serves as her personal conservator — to stay on even if the conservatorship is terminated.

It was also revealed that the Princess of Pop has already asked Montgomery to remain working for her even if the conservatorship ends, to which she reportedly received an affirmative response.

Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, insisted that the process would be twofold: the first step being to get Jamie removed, and then second being to end the conservatorship itself — once and for all.

Jamie, 69, has had control over his daughter’s life since the conservatorship began back in 2008. Britney, 39, publicly spoke out against her situation for the first time in a court testimony in June, where she asked the judge to set her free from the “abusive” conservatorship.

Earlier this week, the “Toxic” singer’s attorney called Jamie’s petition a “massive legal victory,” although Rosengart said in a statement that they still wouldn’t be taking it easy on him.

“Having exposed his misconduct and improper plan to hold his daughter hostage by trying to extract a multi-million dollar settlement, Mr. Spears has now effectively surrendered,” he said on Tuesday, September 7. “There is no settlement.”

“To the extent Mr. Spears believes he can try to avoid accountability and justice, including sitting for a sworn deposition and answering other discovery under oath, he is incorrect and our investigation into financial mismanagement and other issues will continue,” he concluded.
