Many Brits have been plagued this year by annoying house flies
Whether you keep your house spotless or not the little insects thrive in the summer sun.
And, you may have been annoyed by fruit flies and bugs all summer – and boy are they annoying.
Luckily, one woman asked for help and was offered plenty of advice.
She posted her question on a Mrs Hinch fan site – the cleaning influencer has over 4million subscribers.
The woman wrote: “Help, I’ve had flies in my house all summer.
“I thought by now they would be gone but I was completely wrong, I can’t stop the little pests.
“I can’t use sprays or candles as I have cats but does anyone have any ways to help keep them out of the home?”
And, cleaning fans rushed to the comments to share their tested tips.
One person said: “Make sure to leave no food on the counter and to clean them regularly.
“Use a good antibacterial spray and make sure the floors are free from any crumbs. It seems they can smell food a mile away.”
Removing decaying food such as meat, fruit and vegetables will help to keep the common house fly out, especially if fruit is out on the counter.
Another person said: “For house flies I put a little bit of vinegar in a bowl and a little squirt of washing up liquid.
