Carrie Underwood SLAMMED For ‘Liking’ Video For ‘No Mask’ In Schools!

Carrie Underwood is under fire after appearing to support a conservative commentator’s view on children wearing masks at school, argued in front of Nashville’s Board Of Public Education.

The ‘Before He Cheats’ singer “liked” a tweet promoting Matt Walsh’s video where he is voicing his concerns about the situation to the Metropolitan Nashville Board of Public Education. Last week, the Williamson County Board of Education approved a mask mandate forcing children to wear them inside elementary schools.

In the video, Walsh is making the point that forcing children to wear masks should be considered “abusive” and applause can be heard from other parents who attended the meeting. “What if a parent forced his kid to wear a football helmet all day every day for fear of falling coconuts and meteors?” Matt says. He adds, “If you saw that, you would say he’s abusive.”

During the argument, Walsh claims by forcing children to wear masks all day long — it teaches them to believe “the air is toxic” and “that everyone around them is sick.”

Of course, Carrie’s fans on Twitter noticed the endorsement of Walsh’s video and blasted the country singer for supporting anyone not recognizing the surge of ‘Delta variant’ in this country at the moment. “It’s not just that Carrie Underwood liked an anti-mask tweet. It’s that Carrie Underwood liked an anti-mask tweet from Matt Walsh, one of those most negligently histrionic voices on the topic of protecting kids from COVID,” a GLAAD spokesperson tweeted in response.

“Girl I hope that your finger slipped on the like button. Matt Walsh is one of the more repulsive humans in this country,” a fan tweeted. Another added, “Dolly Parton help fund the Moderna vaccine to fight off Covid, Carrie Underwood is helping spread anti-mask & antivaxx misinformation Class vs trash.” Damn.

It should be noted, Carrie has two children with her husband Mike Fisher, but it’s unclear if they are attending school which is affected by the mandate. Also, we should point out that the CDC recommends “universal indoor masking for all students (ages 2 years and older) along with teachers, staff, and visitors to K-12 schools regardless of their vaccination status.”

Following the story becoming viral, Underwood has not addressed the controversy — nor has she “unliked” the video.

Plus, Walsh decided to continue the conversation after noticing the celebrity’s name trending following the story. “Carrie Underwood liked my video and now the mob is coming for her,” Matt wrote. Adding, “She should know better than to like something that they don’t like. This is an unforgivable sin.” After questioning whether or not she will distance herself from the situation as soon as it took off, he sarcastically wrote, “Like anyone else, I am upset and disturbed that Carrie Underwood liked one of my tweets. She should know better than to indirectly endorse the opinions of an extremist and scoundrel such as myself. Her lack of judgment is appalling. I demand that she renounce me and apologize.”

Nashville, Tennessee isn’t the only place in the country dealing with protests over children being forced to wear masks.
