Tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw has certainly been one to remember as it’s less than one week to WWE’s upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event. During the event, Charlotte Flair sat ringside to commentate a non-title matchup between Rhea Ripley and current WWE Raw Women’s Champion, Nikki A.S.H. It was during this match when Charlotte would make an awkward blunder by confusing color commentator Byron Saxton with fellow commentator, Corey Graves.
Graves would then quickly retort: “Don’t worry, that’s not the first time someone’s called out the wrong name with Byron.”
Another humiliating and awkward botch would take place during WWE Monday Night Raw, former WWE Champion The Miz would address Damien Priest ahead of Priest’s matchup against Sheamus for the WWE United States Championship. During an in-ring promo, The Miz would refer to the upcoming WWE pay-per-view event this weekend as ‘WWE WrestleMania’, instead of the proper pay-per-view title – WWE SummerSlam.
In other news regarding Charlotte Flair, one half of the current WWE SmackDown Women’s Tag Team Champions – Natalya discussed Charlotte and addressed the critics of ‘The Queen’ in a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Rick Ucchino. “Listen, in the women’s division, it’s a dog eat dog world, or should I say cat eat cat,” Natalya said. “It’s tough. All of us are vying for an opportunity and everybody wants to be front and center. This industry really is about paying it forward, and what I was able to help Charlotte do in NXT, it’s cool to see her give back and pay it forward. She’s really incredible at giving back, so it’s nice to be able to watch somebody else.”
Natalya continued: “Charlotte’s in the role of a bad girl right now, a villain on TV, so every now and then the good guys win, and so it’s cool to see Nikki get that opportunity and Charlotte pay it forward.”
Charlotte mistakenly calls Byron Saxton, “Corey.”
