Christian Bale Puts An End To The Feud With His mother After 10 Years of Conflict

The feud between Christian Bale and his mother was over after a ten-year-long no-contact period. In 2008, Bale allegedly shoved his mother at London’s Dorchester hotel.

The Hollywood actor Christian Bale put an end to the feud with his mother after 10 years without talking to her. The incident happened on the night that the actor attended the premiere of the movie “The Dark Knight,” in which he played one of his most famous roles, Batman.

The fight was claimed to be about money — something that Jenny, Bale’s mother — strongly denies. Apparently, Bale stormed over his mother and shoved her during the argument, according to his sister Sharon.

His mom and sister reportedly lodged a complaint to the Belgravia Police, in which he voluntarily handed himself. He was later released, without charges due to “insufficient evidence.” A CPS spokesman said at the time:

“Taking all the factors into consideration, the decision has been taken that there is insufficient evidence to afford a realistic prospect of conviction, and accordingly the police have been advised that no further action should be taken against Mr. Bale.”

His family, however, withdrew the charges but that was the last day they would be together for the next ten years.

A close source shared with The Daily Mail that Bale was going through a difficult period of his life and feeling depressed, after Heath Ledger’s death — his personal friend and “The Dark Knight” co-star.

The source claimed that he was very nervous but didn’t lay a finger on anyone. Instead, he flew off the handle and verbally lashed out at his mother, after she said dreadful things about him and his wife, the former model Sibi Blazic.

Bale’s standard reaction, still, according to the source, is to talk to a friend or go to a pub to cool off. But things escalated because his mother was very provocative in her comments. The actor shared with this person, he’d have preferred to walk out of the room.

In 2018 the Welsh actor flew to London to attend the EE BAFTA in London in which he was nominated as “Best Actor” for his role in the film “Vice,” as Dick Cheney. At the time, Jenny Bale told the Mirror UK:

“Yes, we are talking. I know Christian is in London.”

According to Jenny, she’s tried to contact her Hollywood star son nearly every day, to which he resisted for a decade. Before mending the feud and the actor’s resistance, Jenny never lost her hope and tried many things to get in touch with her son.

Jenny told her numerous attempts to talk to him: she waited in line with fans at the following “The Dark Knight” premiere to catch a glimpse of him, who ignored her; she would watch her son on TV in Hollywood ceremonies; and even sent in countless emails, especially close to his 40th birthday.

In 2014, Jenny shared that she tried nearly every day to get back in touch with the 45-years-old Hollywood actor. She said at the time:

“It would be lovely if we could meet up. The ball is in his court.”

Before the day they would talk again, Jenny found comfort in watching her son’s movies. She said she had every single one of them — from American Psycho to the Batman series. In 2018, Christian Bale got in touch with his mother and sister after ten years of the feud.

The Academy Award-winning actor got over the main media outlet’s headlines a year later with his infamous “Terminator Salvation” rant with the film’s cinematographer Shane Hurlbut.

Bale’s meltdown happened when the assistant walked in the set to adjust the light during a scene. The actor lost his mind and dropped f-bombs, along with threats to smash the light equipment and even to quit the film.

The rant went public due to a leaked audio record and the actor faced backlashes at the time. He publicly apologized for the incident later on

In a later interview with an LA radio station, the British actor admitted that he “acted like a punk” and that he was “out of order beyond belief.”

At the end of his rant at the cinematographer, Christopher Nolan’s Batman also verbally attacked the “Terminator Salvation” director, Hurlbut. He insisted that the two resolved their difference at the very day the incident happened.

Bale’s continued critical success came with the movies “The Fighter,” which rendered him both the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for his role as the boxer Dicky Eklund, in 2010, and further nominations for both awards for his work in “American Hustle” (2013), “The Big Short” and “Vice” (2018).

His second Academy Award came with the 2019 sports drama “Ford V Ferrari,” in which he played the race car driver Ken Miles alongside the co-star Matt Damon, who is Carroll Shelby.

The actor is married to the former model Sibi Blazic, to whom he has two kids. The couple has been together for 21 years.

Blazic and Bale are described as a very supportive couple who likes to keep their life very private and away from the spotlights. They’ve been gone through a “dramatic transformation” together over the years.

Bale’s latest endeavor is the movie “Thor: Love and Thunder” which takes place in Australia. He is accompanied by Blazic and their kids Emmaline and Joseph.
