GETTING beloved necklaces, bracelets and rings clean can be a tricky pursuit, since you want to get them back to their former glory both effectively and safely.
Fortunately, a savvy mum has revealed how to get grubby jewellery “naturally” sparkling again in a matter of minutes.
The Australia-based woman, called Leanne, explained in a post on Instagram the simple steps to rejuvenating shiny accessories at home.
Captioning the video, she asked: “When was the last time you cleaned your jewellery?”
The mum then proceeded to tell viewers to cover a bowl with aluminium foil, before throwing in the items in need of a bit of a brightening-up.
Next, she revealed that you need to add one tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda to the bowl.

Then, Leanne showed how you need to pour in boiling water from the kettle until the jewellery is covered.
Finally, she explained that you need to wait just five minutes for some sparkling results.
The clip went down well with social media users who have left more than 200 ‘likes’ as well as dozens of comments.
