Dad who shamed teens over ‘pornographic’ bikinis fired from job

The man, who went viral after exercising his “freedom of speech” towards a group of teenagers, is now facing serious consequences.

A highly religious American man who harassed a group of bikini-clad teens on a beach — likening the group’s swimwear to “pornography” — has been fired by his Christian construction company over his holier-than-thou harangue.

Logan Dorn lambasted the young women over their bathing attire at a Fort Collins reservoir in Colorado over the Labor Day long weekend, claiming that he acted “in righteous anger”.

“Take young eyes into consideration. They don’t need to see pornography right in front of them. You’re flaunting your stuff,” Mr Dorn told the teen girls.

“That’s a thong and that’s a bra.”

One of his targets, 18-year-old Mia, recorded the uncomfortable exchange and posted the now-viral footage to TikTok.

As a result of the bikini brouhaha, Mr Dorn’s employer, Fort Collins-based Mighty Hand Construction, has handed him his walking papers.

“Today information was brought to our attention that one of our employees, Logan Dorn, was accused of harassing a group of individuals over the weekend in Northern Colorado,” the company said on its Facebook page.

“We began an investigation this morning which has resulted in the immediate termination of Mr Dorn. Mighty Hand Construction does not condone Logan’s behaviour in the videos, nor do his actions reflect our values as a company,” it said.

“Mighty Hand strives to be a place of business where all are treated with utmost respect and acceptance, and actions by our employees which go against those values will not be tolerated,” the company added.

On its website, Mighty Hand Construction lists a set of core values: faith, respect, integrity and truth.

“We will do all things with trust in God, each other, and our leaders,” it says. “We will treat all people with kindness and decency.”

During the encounter with the teens, Mr Dorn said America boasts “free will” and “freedom of speech” — meaning he had a right to be there, telling them to cover up.

He said he was speaking not only for the sake of democracy, but on behalf of the will of God.

“If men of God don’t stand up, then our society’s gonna go down the drain because there’s no morality,” he said as the women snickered at his proclamations.

“And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you.

“There’s gonna come a day when you’re gonna come face-to-face with God.”
