Summer is almost over. That means the return of our favorite primetime shows. ABC’s Dancing With The Stars kicks off Season 30 on Monday, September 20. Usually the network keeps the celebrities competing a secret until a week or two before the premiere. However, this year they are shaking things up by dropping some names early. DWTS Reveals Two Season 30 Competitors
ABC has undergone a series of changes for two of its most popular franchises. A year after the network announced the shocking news that DWTS hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews were out, another blow came. Longtime Bachelor Nation host Chris Harrison left the franchise after a media storm over race issues on The Bachelor.
Fans are still adjusting to the hosting changes. DWTS tapped model Tyra Banks as host. Former leads Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe hosted Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette. They will return for Michelle Young’s season later this year. A slate of celebrity hosts are taking turns presiding over the drama on Bachelor in Paradise.
ABC plans to keep Tyra as host for another season, despite fan outcry. Typically the names of the returning pro dancers are released before the names of the entertainment stars. However, the network changed things up this year by announcing the first two names of Season 30 stars.
TikTok and YouTube sensation JoJo Siwa will compete with a female dancer partner, a first for the U.S. version of the show.
She will compete against Olympic medalist Suni Lee for the Mirror Ball trophy. The DWTS cast list almost always includes someone from Bachelor Nation. Did Blake Moynes accidentally reveal that he’ll represent Bachelor Nation on DWTS?

Robert Mills, an executive at ABC, took to his Twitter before the DWTS news to drum up interest. “BIIIIIG DWTS news coming soon,” he tweeted. He may have gotten more than he bargained for in responses when Blake Moynes replied to the tweet.
Blake wrote that he “can’t wait to get on that stage.” Is he competing on Season 30??
We know that it’s highly likely that someone from the franchise will compete. Earlier this year, fans wondered if Colton Underwood or Tyler Cameron might join the dance competition. Now it seems Blake Moynes is throwing his hat in the ring, or is he?
Robert Mills retweeted Blake’s response, joking that Blake is great at keeping secrets. Given that Blake was engaged to Katie Thurston for MONTHS without anyone knowing, it is unlikely that he would spill a huge secret like this. Therefore, he was probably only joking.
