DIY fan transforms kitchen & saves thousands of pounds by using Home Bargains stick-on tiles for £3.99

A SAVVY DIY enthusiast has gone viral after using £3.99 stick-on tiles to transform his kitchen – saving thousands of pounds.

Harri Harris, from Shrewsbury, Shropshire, spotted the bargain fix in his local Home Bargains store and created a TikTok to show the transformation.

The retail manager bought ten packs of the stick on tiles, priced at £3.99 each, and managed to update his kitchen without having to spend around £200 on ceramic tiles.

In the clip, Harri documents his trip to Home Bargains and says: “Popped back to Home Bargains today for some peel and stick kitchen tiles.

“You get three in a pack for £3.99 and I bought ten.

“Pretty impressed with how easy they were to apply, you literally just peel them off to apply.”

He then shows his 51,000 TikTok followers how he stuck the sheets to the wall before adding: “Just make sure the surface you are applying them to is clean and dry.

“And just make sure you have scissors or a Stanley knife for any cutting you need to do.”

Harri’s TikTok clip has already attracted 486,000 views and hundreds of comments from impressed followers.

@missmichellecrossan gushed: “Wow they look amazing.”

@tinalouise said: “Looks fantastic.”

@sarah added: “OMG I love these, I hope they’re still in stock.”

Speaking today, Harri said: “I’d seen them in Home Bargains previously and got so fed up of repainting the walls due to oil splashing up them, so thought it would be the perfect fix.

“The viral post has really given me the confidence to carry on with DIY.

“They are white subway style tiles.

“So they’re sticky back, so they can be applied to existing tiles or wall surfaces that are clean and flat.

“Simply peel the back and stick. Use a Stanley knife for any cutting and it’s that simple.”
