General Hospital spoilers reveal Sam getting the phone call that changes her life — just as things are heating up with Dante Falconeri.
General Hospital Spoilers: Yes, Drew Cain Is Alive
When Drew’s plane first went down over Afghanistan more than two years ago, nobody really bothered to search for him and just assumed he was dead, but we all knew he was alive. We’re not sure if Drew is still in Afghanistan (which is definitely not the best place to be at this point in time), but he is definitely in danger. But hooray — he manages to get to a phone and the first person he calls is Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Sure, he wasn’t involved with her when he disappeared but Sam is a PI and may be able to help him.
When Sam hears his voice, she seems surprised but not particularly shocked that the father of her daughter is giving her a call while she’s on a date. We’re sure this ruins her plans with Dante because she can tell Drew is in trouble and knows she needs to help him.
So, What Happens To Sante?
Cameron Mathison will be making his debut as Drew Cain this week, a role previously played by Billy Miller, and he couldn’t be more thrilled.
“I love this character. I think this character embodies a lot of stuff I haven’t necessarily been able to tap into as an actor…like family and having a daughter on the canvas. I think that means a lot to Drew and obviously, as a dad, that means a lot to me,” Mathison said in the August 24, 2021, issue of Soap Opera Digest.
However, Drew’s reappearance will complicate things for Sam. The last thing Drew knew, Sam had dumped him for the original recipe Jason (Steve Burton) and he may be shocked to learn that Sam also dumped Jason because she realized living a safer life free of the mob does have its benefits. Will Sam remember the love she felt for Drew or are her feelings for Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) becoming too strong? And will we soon learn where Drew has been all this time? Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see Drew Cain make his return this week.
