EastEnders spoilers: Fire deaths teased as explosion leaves Walford residents in danger

EastEnders viewers will witness a huge blaze take hold in the Mitchell household in dramatic scenes next week as residents race to the rescue.

Janine Butcher (Charle Brooks) finds her daughter Scarlett and little Tommy Moon in his bedroom but young lad locks the door and tosses the key straight down a crack in the floorboards.

The three of them now trapped in the bedroom soon realise there’s a fire- they need to get the key fast.

As they attempt to escape an explosion goes off.

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is lying unconscious with flames surrounding him after being smacked by a vengeful Shirley Carter (Linda Carter).

EastEnders’ Tommy, Scarlett and Janine start to panic as the spot smoke entering the room

Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden)and Callum Highway (Tony Clay) notice the flames and as they get closer the smoke and flames are engulfing the house and are getting dangerously close to a gas canister.

It’s also the anniversary of Chantelle’s death and Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) finds flowers on his doorstep.

Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) tells him she saw Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) lingering before and Gray’s face hardens.

Gray confronts Kheerat but Kheerat pushes past him as he’s spots the fire at Phil’s house.

Kheerat and Gray head inside and Kheerat bravely goes up the stairs, Gray follows when an explosion goes off.

New images show Kheerat leading the way in the crowd, calling out for anyone to respond.

Gray can be seen looming behind him, will he follow and take advantage of the situation against his enemy Kheerat?

Meanwhile Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) can be seen in the pictures too, as he looks on in shock. Will he risk his life to save his cousin Phil?

Approaching the back gate, they steel themselves to enter the deadly situation but will everyone make it out alive?

Elsewhere in Walford, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) notices an ambulance pull up to The Vic.

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is experiencing contractions as Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) asks her again if Max is the father.

However, Linda denies it but soon her waters break.

Will Jack be able to help Linda deliver her baby in time?

Fans will also see the return of Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) next week, who will be visited in prison by ex husband Martin Fowler (James Bye), who tells her that he now believes her over his wife Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).

Ruby set up Stacey in a spiteful plot earlier this year, which saw the latter sentenced to time in jail.
