SIR Elton John opened up on the very cheeky birthday present given to him by Ed Sheeran.
Elton turned 74 in March and Ed gifted him a “giant marble penis” for his big day.
“For my birthday this year, he gave me a giant marble penis,” he said on Hit 109.9’s Carrie and Tommy Show.
“I don’t know if that’s because I’ve always been a p***k or what. It’s really big, it’s beautifully made.”
The Rocketman singer revealed his husband, David Furnish, wouldn’t let him put the marble statue in their garden because of their sons Zachary, 10, and eight-year-old Elijah.
He explained: “It’s hidden in an area in the house where they wouldn’t see it”
Elton also opened up about he influenced Ed’s fashion sense and connected him with Donatella Versace.
“I said, ‘Ed – you’ve worn the baggy shirts and the trousers, it’s got you so far but it’s now time to make a change’,” Elton explained.
His advice was taken on board and the results on display in Ed’s Bad Habits video.
Ed looked unrecognisable in his video release in June as he transformed into a vampire.
The video opens with Ed at the hair salon where he emerges wearing a hot pink suit, pink glittery eye make-up, and fangs for teeth.
Elton continued: “I said, ‘Listen – if you’re making the ‘Bad Habits’ video, you’ve got to look great’.
“He loves it, it’s not as if I’m forcing him to [do] anything he doesn’t want to do.”
It’s not the first time Ed has given someone an X-rated birthday gift, he also treated Friends’ actress Courteney Cox to a “leather gimp mask”.
Ed revealed he got her the gift when she told him she could buy anything she wanted from her Alexa device.
He explained: “So, she walks out the room, and I go, ‘Alexa, order me a leather gimp mask’.
“Unbeknownst to me, Courteney’s assistant opened the post, and she finds this mask and instantly goes, ‘Oh, I don’t think I was meant to see that,’ and leaves it on Courteney’s bed.”
He added: “Anyway, she found out the story, and now every time I go back there, I order her another gimp mask.
“And she has maybe 12, and I hide them in people’s bedrooms. So they’ll go in a drawer, and they’ll just find this leather S&M mask.”
Ed, who has been enjoying fatherhood since he welcomed his daughter Lyra Antartica into the world last September with his wife Cherry Seaborn, is back with a bang.
