Erika Jayne weeps and denies comparing herself to Jesus Christ

Jayne wept.

Erika Jayne denied comparing herself to Jesus Christ after sharing a post that seemingly likened her to none other than the son of God himself.

“No, I did not compare myself to Christ, someone else did and I reposted it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Now everyone can have a pretend meltdown about it. 🙄,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 50, tweeted Thursday.

Hours earlier, Jayne reposted a fan’s Instagram Story that called out one of the lawyers in the bankruptcy case against her estranged husband Tom Girardi’s former law firm, Girardi Keese.

“This is exactly how CHRIST died,” the fan wrote in the caption that the “Housewife” shared on her page.

The fan has since clarified their remarks and also denied they were comparing Jayne to Christ. Instead, they said they were trying to draw attention to an “unethical lawyer” who is trying to “undermine the judicial system” through public opinion — “just like Christ.”

Jayne said fans had a “meltdown” over her controversial post.

Many followers still had a bone to pick with Jayne about her initial post, however.

One fan tweeted, “Reposting is the same as posting yourself. It means you cosigned it. Seriously, what is wrong with you??”

Another wrote, “Repeat after me, ‘I am terribly sorry for what happened to the victims of my ex-husband’s alleged crimes. I extend my deepest regret and sympathy to their families and will work to the best of my ability to ensure that they see justice.’”

A third fan added, “Erika Jayne comparing herself to Christ is…..absolutely insane. This woman has lost her damn mind.”‘

The reality star has been sued for $25 million by the trustee handling the Girardi Keese bankruptcy case for allegedly knowing that Girardi, 82, was paying for her expenses for at least 12 years.

Jayne has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, saying she had no knowledge of the disgraced attorney’s alleged crimes.

She filed for divorce from Girardi in November 2020.
