With a full 90 days to go until Santa comes down the chimney, it turns out that some people up in Glasgow are already fully getting into the festive swing
With 2021’s summer drawing to a close, it’s the time of year when people start to look ahead to autumn and winter nights; which means big coats, cosying up in front of the fire and sipping on pumpkin spice lattes and mulled wine.
But, arguably most importantly, it means the countdown to Christmas is officially on.
From today, it’s officially 90 days until we get to see all the wonderful gifts Santa left for us below the tree, but with a good three months to go, it turns out some people are already embracing the festive spirit, according to Glasgow Live.

Guests at two hotels in the Scottish city took to Twitter to share their disbelief at the sight of Christmas trees and décor greeting them at the lobby and entrances.
One of the guests, who was up visiting the city, wrote: “Up in Glasgow visiting two new customers. It’s only September, can’t believe that the hotel already have their Christmas tree up!”
It seems though they aren’t the only ones keenly awaiting the arrival of Santa, after a member of the public spotted someone with their Christmas tree already up in their living room earlier this week.
The tree was spotted with its lights blazing through the window of a house on Maryhill Road in the north of the city near to Chinese restaurant (and local institution) Wong’s.
Given the fact it’s still 90 days to Christmas, we are wondering if the owners of the property just couldn’t be bothered taking their tree down in January and have kept it up all this time.
In fairness, Christmas 2020 was absolute shambles for so many people – so if people want to extend the festive spirit, let them enjoy it!
