Fuming bride invoices ‘no-show’ guests £90 a pop and gets slammed for being ‘petty’

A WEDDING guest was left astounded when they received an invoice of $240 (£175) from the bride after they failed to show up at her wedding.

Taking to Reddit the disgruntled guest shared a snap of their bill after being charged for themselves and a plus one.

The bill was listed for the service of “Wedding Reception Dinner (No Show)” with the unit price being $120 (£90) and the quantity of two.

The description read: “This invoice is being sent to you because you confirmed seat(s) at the wedding reception during the Final Headcount.

“The amount above is the cost of your individual seats.

“Because you didn’t call or give proper notice that you wouldn’t be in attendance, this amount is what you owe us for paying for your seat(s) in advance.

“You can pay via Zelle or Paypal. Please reach out to us and let us know which method of payment works for you. Thank you!”

The post prompted a mixed response on Reddit, with many slamming the bride as “petty.”

One wrote: “Accepting a wedding invite isn’t entering into a legal contract with each other. A social contract, sure, but this is just tacky. It’s a party (during a pandemic). Stuff happens.”

“Super f***ing petty,” agreed another, while a third added, “Aaaaaand I’d be putting that into the recycle bin. The end.”

However, there were some who stepped in to defend the bride.

One said: “It’s s****y not to announce it if you won’t make your RSVP.”

“Don’t bail on people’s weddings unless it’s an absolute emergency,” added another.

In other wedding news, a bride was shocked as the “worst mother-in-law ever” said she was wearing an ACTUAL wedding dress to her son’s big day.

And this bride was dumped a DAY after her wedding, when her “jealous” mother-in-law made her husband choose between them.

Plus this mother-in-law decided to bring her son’s ex to the wedding.
