Furious Primark shopper demands refund after ‘being sold dead man’s t-shirt’

A disgruntled Primark shopper is furiously demanding a remand after she claimed that she was sold a dead man’s t-shirt.

Carrie, from Edinburgh, paid £1.50 for a plain white slim-fit top from the clothing retail giant to wear for her new job – but was horrified at a discovery just one day later.

After a regular day wearing the tee, the horrified shopper reportedly noticed an itchy tag, which upon inspection was attached to the official Primark label with a man’s name on it, The Mirror reports.

In a TikTok video, Carrie explains the moment she Googled the man’s name and discovered he was dead.

“So we Googled his name – dead man. I also googled the hospital on the little tag – it’s a dementia ward,” she ranted.

Carrie discovered a death notice on Family Announcements and saw that the man, Thomas Hay, died aged 85 in Fraserburgh Hospital back in 2020, the Scottish Sun reported.

The ‘creeped out’ shopper is now requesting that Primark investigates the situation, wanting answers on how she could end up with a t-shirt that allegedly belonged to the ex-fisherman.

Carrie said: “I just want to know why did Primark send me a dead man’s T-shirt and what do I do with it.”

TikTok sleuths later discovered that the t-shirt wasn’t even from the fashion season in 2021, and was due to be sold back in 2019.
