Former Counting On star Henry Seewald is growing up quickly! Ben and Jessa Seewald‘s second child is four years old now, and he’s learning all kinds of new things. Henry recently became a big brother once again. Jessa and Ben now share four kids, including Henry, Spurgeon, Ivy, and Fern.
In a new social media post, Jessa shared an update about Henry, revealing what he’s working on now. In the video she shared, Henry is learning how to read. He’s sitting on the couch in his fire engine pajamas. He’s holding a book in his lap and is very focused as his mom records a video. Jessa proudly writes, “Henry is learning to read and he’s loving it! So sweet to watch it click in their little minds!”
In the video, Henry slides his finger below the words on the page as he works to figure out what they say. When he figures it out, he has a huge smile on his face and is clearly proud of his hard work. At just four years old, he’s already doing a great job.

On Instagram, in response to Jessa’s new video, fans are commenting on how amazing Henry’s skills are. They think he’s doing a great job in the video, and they can’t wait to see him continue to make progress.
One fan writes, “The teacher in me is smiling so big watching this! I retired after 38 years of teaching but moments like this fill my heart!♥️”
Counting On fans are happy to see that Henry loves learning already, and they hope this will instill a love for reading in him from a young age. They’re commenting on how talented and smart the little guy is.
Another adds, “He is so smart. I remember when you all thought he was delayed in speech. You are doing an awesome job as parents.” Fans may recall watching Ben and Jessa take Henry to speech therapy on Counting On. He’s done great with therapy and seems to be speaking well now. Jessa and Ben are thrilled with his progress.
