TV HOST TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

Asunción Cummings Hostin, known professionally as Sunny Hostin, is an American lawyer, journalist, and television host.

Hostin has a huge platform as a co-host on ABC’s morning talk show The View as well as being the Senior Legal Correspondent and Analyst for ABC News.

On Friday 24th September, Hostin and Navarro were instructed off of the TV set during a live recording of The View whereby VP Kamala Harris would have soon been joining them.

Joy Behar later addressed their absence on-air and confirmed that the pair had tested positive for Coronavirus.

Speaking upon the situation in an interview, Vice President Harris quoted:

“Sunny and Ana are strong women and I know they’re fine, but it really also does speak to the fact that they’re vaccinated and vaccines really make all the difference because otherwise we would be concerned about hospitalization and worse.”

IS SUNNY HOSTIN VACCINATED?

According to The Conversation, vaccination is the safest way to gain immunity to the coronavirus and two doses are required to achieve the greatest possible protection with most COVID-19 vaccines.

Sunny Hostin is double vaccinated, meaning her chances of needing hospital care if she were to become ill from the virus are much lower than those not vaccinated.

In the caption of an Instagram image of her daughter receiving the second dose of vaccination, @sunny stated:

“The entire Hostin household is now vaccinated.”

WHAT ABOUT THE VIEW CO-HOST ANA NAVARRO?

Ana Navarro is double vaccinated, also lowering her chances of becoming seriously ill after contracting COVID-19.

After the show, Ana shared a humorous image onto Instagram indicating that the hectic day was a “margaritas type of day.”

Beneath the post, both of the co-hosts received tons of well-wishes from supporters following the coronavirus announcement.

@ananavarrofl then uploaded a short video clip speaking to the camera to update her followers on the situation.

Navarro confirms that has tested negative twice since the original positive test and is currently quarantining in a New York hotel.

Navarro is now waiting for the third test result before she is able to travel.

In relation to the viral video displaying the hosts being escorted off-stage, Ana states that it was very important to keep the US Vice President safe.

The co-host then expresses her thanks towards the VP, The View team and her supportive followers before announcing the importance of vaccination:

“I am so happy that I am vaccinated and to know the protection that that gives me.”
