Written by Lee Woo-Jung and directed by Shin Won-ho, “Hospital Playlist” is a South-Korean television series starring Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-Seok, Jung Kyung-ho, Kim Dae-Myung, and Jeon Mi-do, exploring the everyday life of five doctors and their patients inside a hospital, where birth, death and everything in between coexists, the first season of which aired on March 12, 2020.

Season two of the series that premiered on Thursday, June 17, 2021, on Netflix continues with the narration of the life inside the hospital, where every patient and every story matters, and five friends who confront the ups and downs of life as doctors — and as human beings.

The series follows five doctors in their 40s who have been best friends since they entered medical school in 1999 and revolves around the friend group as they embark on hospital adventures involving medicine, music, and relationships.

By the conclusion of the first season, the series became the tenth highest-rated Korean drama in cable television history. As per Nielsen Korea based on the nationwide ratings, by recording 10% in viewership for the first episode of season 2, the series set the record for the highest viewership ratings for the first episode of tvN’s dramas.
