When scrolling through Instagram, you don’t often see pictures that are completely unposed – but Karina Irby wants to change that.
Instead of posting photos that are meticulously planned and airbrushed to perfection, she decided to upload “accidental selfies” to her feed.
The 31-year-old swimwear designer, from Australia, admitted she snapped the images without realising.
She told her 1.2 million followers: “Accidental selfies unedited. As always with these series, they are just how they are.
“Chins. Pores. Whatever. Because your feed needs a little more realness and a lot more potato.”
While some pictures show Karina caught off guard, others capture every day life (which usually involves munching on a packet of crisps).
The post has garnered more than 8,400 likes and dozens of positive comments in the last four hours.
Many praised Karina for promoting natural beauty instead of filtered photos.
One commenter remarked: “You’re honestly the best. This happens to me every time I go to check in – I’m like ‘oops, there’s my chins again!’”
Another said: “I love this, I love you! You’re a blessing in my feed. Thank you for being YOU.”
A third wrote: “I love how real you are.”
And a fourth added: “The content we needed today.”
It’s not the first time Karina has been praised for her body positive posts.
Previously, the influencer posted a photo that’s “not her fave” to show her followers it’s OK not to be perfect.
On Instagram, she wrote: “NOT MY FAV. I snapped this pic on the weekend and definitely didn’t think I would be posting it.
“But like I say… sometimes it’s important to post our candid content without all the angles, posing and lighting.
“So here it is. My body can look like this.”
The picture garnered more than 43,000 likes and fans gushed that Karina looks stunning in the candid selfie.
One commenter said: “I love the REAL posts. They make me feels much better about myself because we have similar bodies.
“I feel more beautiful when I see you because I think you look great. So why wouldn’t I feel that way about myself too?”
