Inside the successful Love Island romances as Camilla and Jamie get married

NOT all Love Island romances end in tears.

Over the years, a handful of couples walked off the ITV2 reality show together and have lasted the distance.

Not only are they still in love, these stars have also built successful careers in the spotlight, said “I Do”, bought lavish mansions and welcomed cute babies.

Here, as Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt become the latest couple to tie the knot, we take a look at Love Island’s most successful couples…

CAMILLA AND JAMIE

When Camilla first entered the villa in 2017, she didn’t have much success in finding a spark with another Islander, following failed couplings with Jonny Mitchell and Craig Lawson.

But the humanitarian worker’s luck changed when Calvin Klein model Jamie walked through the doors as a late arrival.

The pair hit it off and their romance continued once the cameras stopped rolling.

In the following years, the couple enjoyed charity trips and hikes and launched a sustainable beauty and lifestyle brand.

In May 2020, Camilla and Jamie revealed they were set to become parents. The couple welcomed a gorgeous daughter called Nell Sophia in October that year.

The following February, Nell helped Jamie to pop the question to Camilla by wearing a babygro reading: “Mummy will you marry my Daddy?”

Camilla, 32, and Jamie, 31, married in secret this week.

Cara and Nathan met in the 2016 Love Island villa and captured the nation’s hearts with their fairytale romance. The couple went on to win the series, opting to split the £50,000 prize money.

To begin with, Cara and Nathan appeared to be solid. But in April 2017, they shocked fans by announcing their separation. Soon after, they announced that Cara was pregnant.

Love could not keep this couple apart, however, and they reunited less than seven months later.

At the time, a close friend of Cara’s said: “Cara and Nathan are very happy at the moment, I think the baby has bought them closer together and I’ve never seen Cara so happy.”

The couple welcomed son Freddie in December 2017 and got engaged seven months later. They enjoyed a lavish wedding the following year. Nathan later said: “Cara looked unbelievable.”

Last July, 31-year-old Cara gave birth to their second child – a daughter called Delilah.

The sweet family live together in Essex in a gorgeous pad, complete with a swanky massive bath.

Cara is co-owner of a successful children’s fashion brand, Embroidery By FJ, while Nathan, 29, runs a lucrative fitness company called Mass Motivation.

Although they didn’t win the 2016 series of Love Island, with the crowns going to Nathan and Cara, Alex and Olivia also found lasting love.

The runners-up were in hot demand from the minute they left the villa and quickly began building up a small fortune, working with brands such as GymKing and Quiz Clothing.

Six months later, 29-year-old Alex popped the question after whisking Olivia to New York for her birthday. Their 2018 wedding cost £100,000.

In 2019, the couple starred in their own reality show; Olivia & Alex: Happily Ever After. Airing on TLC, the cameras followed the newlyweds as they navigated life as husband and wife in the public eye.

They have since bought a five-bed £1million mansion set within sprawling grounds and have spent the last year renovating it.

Olivia, 27, previously admitted she and her mum would drive past the house when she was little and she would dream of living in there.

Last month, the couple revealed they are trying for a baby.

Olivia told Fabulous magazine: “We’ve been talking about kids recently. We’d love to have one in the near future, which I don’t think we were ready for before.

“It was a bit of a revelation – I’ve got a picture of us when we decided that we’d not worry about contraception any more.”

Sparks certainly flew between Jess and Dom when they coupled up in the 2017 Love Island villa. They were the first couple to have sex on the show.

But their romance wasn’t just a flash in the pan, as Jess and Dom are still very much together.

Three months after leaving the villa, Dom and Jess were already engaged and they have since said “I do”…twice.

The couple’s first wedding came on Good Morning Britain in a bizarre ceremony on Valentine’s Day 2018. It was overseen by Jeremy Kyle and they were ‘married’ by showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold.

However, the reality TV stars had a proper wedding months later in October, opting to officially tie the knot during a ceremony on the Greek Island of Mykonos.

Jess and Dom welcomed their first child, a son, in September 2019 and live in a stunning family home in Devon.

Located between the beach and moors, their pad is chic and minimalist and features a balcony that looks over their huge garden.

The couple own a children’s clothing company called Natral & Nuutral.

MOLLY-MAE HAUGE AND TOMMY FURY

They may be the most recent of the show’s most successful couples but Molly-Mae and Tommy are likely to have the biggest bank balances of the lot.

Molly-Mae and Tommy instantly fell for each other in the 2019 series of Love Island and the nation was shocked when they didn’t win the show.

But although they didn’t scoop the £50,000 prize money, Molly and Tommy have more than made up for it.

After leaving the villa, Molly signed a deal worth £500,000 with clothing brand Pretty Little Thing. The following year, it was upped to £600,000.

Then last month, Molly agreed to become PLT’s Creative Director. She is believed to now be raking in seven-figures as a result.

Between August 2019 and August 2020, Molly made an average of £11,000 a week. In May, even before her PLT deal was confirmed, it was reported she had become millionaire.

Meanwhile, Tommy’s net-worth is also reported to be more than £1million. He has made his huge fortune with dozens of lucrative deals for huge brands including Disney+ and McDonald’s.

Tommy has recently returned to his roots as a boxer, too, following in the footsteps of his champion half-brother Tommy Fury.

When they’re not working, Tommy and Molly-Mae are as loved up as they have ever been.

The couple recently quashed reports that they have split, explaining that they don’t appear on social media together so often these days due to their incredibly hectic schedules.

Earlier this week, Tommy proved just how much he adores Molly by making a subtle – but incredibly sweet – nod to her during his debut fight in the US.
