ASHTON Kutcher didn’t exactly get a warm welcome from Iowa State fans as they yelled “take a shower” at him.
The famous actor and his wife, Mila Kunis, previously admitted they “only bathe” their kids “when they can see dirt on them.”
During an interview with Ashton on GameDay before the Iowa State Cyclones versus the Iowa Hawkeyes matchup, the movie star’s words got interrupted when fans began to scream, “take a shower.”
However, Ashton carried on as he began talking about his project Outside Wine.
The crowd’s harsh reaction comes after Ashton, 43, and Mila, 38, revealed the showering habits of their family.
While talking to Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on their popular podcast Armchair Expert, the Hollywood pair revealed to listeners just how often they decide to bathe their children.
Ashton and Mila share daughter Wyatt Isabelle, six, and son Dimitri Portwood, four.
It all kicked off when Dax insisted that Monica “should not be getting rid of the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day” and should instead only wash with water, something that Ashton and Mila both agreed with.
“I can’t believe I am in the minority here of washing my whole body in the shower. Who taught you not to wash?” Monica asked, to which Mila replied, “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn’t shower much anyway.”
Mila, who shared screen time with Ashton on That ’70s Show, continued: “But when I had children, I also didn’t wash them every day. “I wasn’t that parent that bathed my newborns — ever.”
The former Punk’d host added: “Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”
After receiving backlash, Ashton and Mila would later mock trolls and share a video of their kids in the shower.
According to The American Academy of Dermatology Association, kids ages 6 to 11 “may not need a daily bath,” but they should at least wash once or twice a week.
NOT INTO SHOWERING
Ashton and Mila are also not heavy into daily showering.
Ashton, who was almost on the Virgin Galactic flight, confessed on the podcast: “I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that delivers every time. Nothing else.”
He added: “I do tend to throw some water on my face after a workout to get all the salts out… So I do wash my face twice a day.”
‘WE FORGET’
This may be a running trend in Hollywood, as Dax and his wife, Kristen Bell, were also previously ripped for their family’s lack of hygiene.
Dax said on his podcast: “We bathed our children every single night – before bed is like the routine.
“And then somehow, they just started going to sleep on their own without the routine, and by George, we had to start saying, ‘Hey, when’s the last time you bathed them?'”
The Good Place star agreed, adding: “Yeah, we forget.”
Dax, 46, went on: “Sometimes five, six days go along. I mean, they don’t smell.”
‘BIG FAN OF THE STINK’
Kristen, 41, disagreed, however, saying: “Well, they sometimes do.
“I’m a big fan of waiting for the stink. Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up.
“There’s a red flag. Because honestly, it’s just bacteria. And once you get the bacteria, you gotta be like, ‘Get in the tub or the shower.’ So I don’t hate what they’re doing. I wait for the stink.”
The duo, who keep their children out of the spotlight, share Lincoln, eight, and Delta, six.
