It’s true that the Mama June: Road to Redemption star has been through quite a lot in her 16 years on the planet. It might be that she’s looking for someone a little more worldly to share her personal life with.
As she does her growing up, it appears the young woman is starting to really come into her own. Late last month, she sat down for an interview with Teen Vogue. One of the first things she talked about was her name.
“My mama did not name me Honey Boo Boo,” she reminded the world. “My name is Alana.”
That’s important because she realizes that her television persona can be a hassle. While she once loved being called Honey Boo Boo, Alana now uses the moniker in order to catch fakers.
“I feel like folks are so much like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m friends with Honey Boo Boo,’” she told the magazine. That might be why she’s hitched her wagon to what appears to be a 20-year-old man.
Dralin Carswell Captured The Heart of Honey Boo Boo?
Honey Boo Boo’s man is or was a college student until COVID hit. While she mentioned a new boyfriend during her Teen Vogue interview, she didn’t offer many details. It turns out Dralin Carswell is the lucky guy.
Alana and the 20-year old Carswell have reportedly been dating for about six months. That’s a bit notable considering that Alana just turned 16 a few months ago.
COVID Led To Love?
Dralin has been attending a technical college in Nashville. However, when the coronavirus pandemic hit, he had to change his plans a bit. The young man reportedly now lives in Georgia, not far from where Alana and her sister Lauryn live.
It’s likely they met because they live in the same area, meaning that things might not have happened the way they did if the pandemic hadn’t occurred.
Now, inside sources say Alana and Dralin are attached at the hip. For those who might wonder if this relationship goes against her family’s wishes, insiders have also said Alana’s older sisters approve of the couple being together.
“He was quiet at first, but he’s like one of the family now,” one source said. That same source said that he’s now crazy and outgoing, just as much as the rest of the Honey Boo Boo clan.
The pair are said to have quite a bit in common as well. That includes a love of cars that Dralin has passed to Alana. The question now is just how long the pair can stay a couple and whether or not this is true love.
