Is ‘Real Housewives of Dallas’ Canceled After 5 Seasons For Good?!

The ‘Real Housewives Of Dallas’ is canceled…at least, for now!

The network behind the popular franchise, Bravo, made the announcement this week saying the Dallas version of the show will NOT be renewed for another season. ‘RHOD’ aired on the network for five seasons and was the center of several controversies.

Bravo confirmed the axing to saying the Texas-based show would be shelved and nothing has been decided beyond not shooting the sixth season. “There are currently no plans to bring ‘The Real Housewives of Dallas’ back next year, and beyond that nothing, official has been decided,” a rep for the network told PageSix.

Could ‘RHOD’ Return On A Streaming Service?!

As for the future, Bravo is reportedly not sure whether it will bring the series back on another platform, like ‘The Real Housewives Of Miami.’ The popular television show ended its fifth season earlier this year following numerous racial issues and incidents involving the show’s cast members.

According to reports, the network was forced to make a statement in defense of new cast member Tiffany Moon. “Bravo strongly supports the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community,” they tweeted at the time. Adding, “Anti-Racism is, in fact, not a form of racism and the network stands by Dr. Tiffany Moon and her advocacy against racism and violence.”

If you didn’t watch the show, Moon was attacked by her co-star Kameron Westcott’s husband, Court, for being “anti-racist.”

“‘Anti-racism,’ is racism,” Court wrote on Twitter. Adding, “It discriminates by the color of one’s skin. They tried that once in Germany, it did not work out well. I don’t understand how many of your patients would be comfortable with you treating them with your open vile racism [sic].”

Tiffany Moon appeared to have cut ties with the production after updating her IG bio to “Previous Case Member #RHOD S5” before shortly changing it back.

Plus, Season 1 star Brandi Redmond was blasted online in 2020 for a racially insensitive video that resurfaced online, in which she appeared to make fun of Asain people. The reality star apologized and returned for Season 4, but following rumors that her husband had cheated on her, she left reality television. At the time, it was reported she was “contemplating leaving, but nothing was confirmed.”

‘Real Housewives Of Dallas’ was first announced in 2015, and premiered the next year. It joined the massive franchise which launched in 2006, which includes the OG version —  ‘The Real Housewives Of Orange County — and others including The Real Housewives of New York, The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, The Real Housewives Of New Jersey, The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives Of Miami, The Real Housewives Of D.C., The Real Housewives of The Potomac, and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

Obviously, with that monster list of TV shows, fans will have plenty of drama to wrap their heads around…and several of the already canceled versions of the shows are being developed for a second run on NBC’s streaming platform, Peacock.
