Jack Wilshere has told talkSPORT that it’s ‘game over’ in the Premier League title race if Harry Kane leaves Tottenham for Manchester City.

The midfielder also warned that Spurs will ‘100%’ drop out of the top six next season if they lose Kane’s services this summer.

Kane has returned back to pre-season training on Saturday, despite a week of speculation that he was actually due back on August 2.

Ahead of the new Premier League season, Wilshere backed the champions to reclaim their crown once more.

“Man City (to win the title),” said Wilshere. “I played against them so many times. It’s awful. It’s horrible. You cannot get the ball off them.

“Pep just makes them play these little passes. Then they are after a number nine, talks of Harry Kane.

“If they get him then it’s game over before it has started – I think Tottenham would probably drop out of the top six if they lose Kane. 100%.”

Manchester City have been playing fantasy football since 2008, but signing Jack Grealish and Kane takes it to another level.

Grealish is already through the Etihad doors and Pep Guardiola has shared that he also wants Kane.

Given that they won the Premier League title last season and reached the European Cup final, it begs the question as to what all of this does to the competitive nature of football if Kane is able to rock up in Manchester.
