Jack Wilshere has told talkSPORT that West Ham will find it ‘difficult’ to maintain their top-six status next season because of European football.
It’s Thursday night football for the Hammers and Wilshere thinks ‘a lot of the players’ inside the dressing ‘aren’t used to that’.

David Moyes punched well above West Ham’s weight last season to secure that sixth-placed finish, but they haven’t done much in the summer transfer market to build on that success.
Wilshere was one of the casualties from the players Moyes axed before his first full season at the club, as the now-free agent shared his thoughts on West Ham’s chances of finishing in the top six.
“I think West Ham have got a chance,” said Wilshere. “But I think it will be difficult for them because they are in Europe.
“A lot of players aren’t used to that. Travelling away, getting back late on a Friday morning, it’s hard.”
The question has to be asked whether Moyes is being rewarded by those in the boardroom for guiding the East London club to Europe.
The answer is probably no and that’s where the anger and frustrations from the fans towards those in suits stems from.
Whilst Moyes can put out an XI that can compete with some of the best, he needs that depth in quality because Thursday to Sunday is going to be a difficult situation to deal with.
