With nine minutes to go, down 11 points and Joe Judge deciding to punt, it did not feel like the Giants were going to escape New Orleans with their first win of the season. Well, Daniel Jones had a tremendous couple of drives and overtime, the defense made big stops and Big Blue finally won a game. Could this be the win that turns the Giants season around?
To answer that question and break down the Giants’ 27-21 overtime win over the Saints, we bring you a new episode of the “Blue Rush” podcast with Lawrence Tynes and Paul Schwartz.
Blue Rush Podcast with Paul, Lawrence & Jake:
- DANIEL JONES/OFFENSE: He had a presence about him Sunday. He made some big throws and threw the ball down the field consistently. He had his highest yards per completion of his career. The receivers are showing up. Kadarius Toney and John Ross made their presence felt. It was an exciting offense. The offensive line played great.
- JASON GARRETT: His play-calling was much better and he let Jones take shots down the field. They did this against a really good defense. He surely is not losing his play-calling duties after this game.
- SAQUON BARKLEY: He is building back emotion and confidence. Had a nice game receiving out of the backfield and a couple strong runs.
- TWEETS: Tynes and Schwartz answer Twitter questions from the fans.
