COUNTING On’s Joy-Anna Duggar revealed she and her husband Austin Forsyth have been working on renovating a massive RV for themselves to use on family trips.
The 23-year-old took fans inside the mobile home as the couple worked to completely tear apart the insides and build it back up with a whole new look.
On Monday, Joy-Anna stood inside the RV and told followers that she had a major project to reveal.
She and Austin decided to purchase a “2001 freight liner Bounder Class A Motorhome” and renovate it to fit their tastes and needs.
The couple, who share son Gideon and daughter Evelyn, hope to “go on some family trips” once they finish fixing up the vehicle, which they revealed they’ve been working on for weeks now.
On their current status, the mother of two shared: “We’ve put a lot of hours into demoing and we’re almost ready to paint!”
Joy-Anna added: “Austin put up all this shiplap for us and then it’s almost ready to paint. So we’ve been putting a lot of hours into this.
“Austin’s back here right now, trying to get that glass off, there’s a big piece of glass on this back wall.
“That’s why the kids and I are staying in the front. But we’ve got a lot of work to do. A lot’s happening. It’s really exciting.”
After promising to keep Counting Fans updated on the progress, she continued to do just that with a few more “before” and current photos and videos of what they’ve been doing.
The massive RV features a master bedroom, which they plan to fix up with “an accent shiplap wall” by the bed, “to make it feel more homey.”
The large living area includes a washer and dryer, cabinet space everywhere, and a large couch.
The bathroom is currently being “updated,” and the mobile home’s closet has been torn apart, with plans to turn it “into the kids bunk room,” which Joy-Anna said is her “favorite project.”
They also took out the little dinette area to make more room for the kids to play.
“I’m a minimalist, I don’t like bulky,” the 23-year-old added on why she also wanted to get ride of the table.
If things continue to progress as planned, the Duggar daughter hopes “to get it done in the next three weeks or so.”
She added: “We basically gutted the whole thing and are painting and reflooring it all!
“…Starting off, we were just going to make a few little changes. But, it just grew bigger and bigger and now we’re redoing the whole thing!
“I keep adding new things.”
Joy-Anna has been making a lot of changes lately, including adding a new member to the family: a kitten.
The 23-year-old took to Instagram to reveal the new pet, as the first photo showed Gideon, three, holding the animal and laughing while Evelyn, 11, months, giggled and looked on.
The former TV star captioned the new pics: “Sometimes the smallest things take the most room in your heart.”
Despite her parents Jim Bob and Michelle’s strict rules, Joy-Anna also recently dyed her hair for the “first time.”
