Kathy Hochul makes the rounds in Hamptons

Before taking over as Governor on Tuesday, Kathy Hochul made the rounds in the Hamptons this past weekend.

The incoming Democratic pol — who will be the first female to take the Governor’s seat as Andrew Cuomo steps down in the face of allegations of sexual misconduct — attended a breakfast at Naia at the Capri in Southampton hosted by Father Alexander Karloutsos of the Greek Orthodox Church and grocery store magnate John Catsimatidis.

We’re told Hochul gave a 30-minute speech in front of guests including Deputy Majority Leader of the New York State Senate Michael Gianaris, NY State Senator Andrew Gounardes, and Democratic National Committee heavyweight Dennis Mehiel.

Hochul was later spotted at the home of Judith Kasen Windsor, the second wife of gay marriage icon Edie, and made several other private fundraising stops, says a source.

Gov. Cuomo resigned this month after Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation found that he sexually harassed or mistreated 11 women. He said he took “full responsibility” for his actions, but noted “generational differences” and claimed he never touched anyone inappropriately.

Hochul wasn’t the only pol around town this weekend, despite the inclement weather. Disgraced former mayor and suspended lawyer Rudy Giuliani was seen at the Capri hotel this weekend as well for a reception for South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.

Meanwhile, over in East Hampton, Bill Clinton took to the field to umpire the Artist and Writers Charity softball game.

Players included 77-year-old journo Carl Bernstein — who has been playing in the game for decades and spent innings hunched over as catcher— the New Yorker’s Ken Auletta, artist William Quigley, writer Gabrielle Bluestone, “Real Housewives” Leah McSweeney and Cindy Barshop and “The Mindy Project” actor Adam Pally, who we’re told scored a home run and was the MVP of the game.

Winning the title of most random softball player: Taylor Hanson of the Hanson Brothers and 1997 hit song “MmmBop” fame.
