Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard DOUBLE DOWN On Bathing Ritual with Kids

Well folks, not bathing regularly is the latest craze to hit “Tinsel Town!”

A-list couple Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher started the trend in July after admitting they are not regular bathers.

They tend to their stench only when it’s necessary.

During an appearance on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast in July, the couple revealed they have loose shower schedule.

“I don’t wash my body with soap every day,” the ‘Family Guy’ actress said. “But I wash pits and tits and holes and soles.”

Interestingly, Kunis revealed the habit started as a matter of circumstance. “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child,” she said. Adding, “so I didn’t shower very much anyway.”

Her hubby, Kutcher, agreed adding, “I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that just delivers every time. Nothing else.”

Kunis also revealed the same showering habits go for their two kids as well. She doesn’t bathe them everyday noting, “Here’s the thing—if you can see the dirt on ’em, clean ’em. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

The couple is in good company, because even Shepard and his wife, Kristen Bell, admitted they don’t bathe their children everyday.

In fact, The Blast previously reported that Bell ‘waits for the stink’ to rise off of her two children before getting them into the tub.

Last week, Shepard and Bell confirmed on an episode of “The View” why they don’t feel the need to wash their kids every night, despite many people on the Internet getting up in arms over the admission.

“We bathed our children every single night prior to bed is like the routine and then somehow they just started going to sleep on their own without the routine and by George we had to start saying, ‘Hey, when’s the last time you bathed them?” Shepard said.

Bell chimed in saying, “Yeah, we forget.”

The podcast host admitted that sometimes five or six days go along and they don’t smell so he doesn’t bathe them.

Now, the couple is doubling down on their decision to ‘wait for the stink.’

On the August 9 episode of “Daily Blast Live,” bell and Shepard once again appeared in their matching brown leather recliners to “tell ‘em like it is.”

“It’s not so much of a joke that I wait for the stink. That tells you when they need to bathe,” the “Gossip Girl” actor said.

Bell expressed her and Shepard’s desire to help the environment by only using water when it’s necessary.

Hey, we can’t shame them for that!

“This is the other thing is California has been in a drought forever,” the “Good Place” alum said. “It’s just, like, responsibility for your environment. We don’t have a ton of water, so when I shower, I’ll grab the girls and push them in there with me so we all use the same shower water.”

“I don’t know. It just happens whenever it happens, I guess,” Bell added.

Bell’s other half chimed in and noted that they did use to bathe them religiously; however, as they got older the need to bathe became less and less of an obligation.

“We did bathe them religiously for the first few years when the bedtime routine was so vital,” he said. “Once that wasn’t required to get them to go to sleep, yeah, we took our foot off the gas.”

Shepard also made it a point to let America know that his wife has better hygiene habits than he does.

“I’ll just say, for America, Kristen has better hygiene than me, so I think in general, because Kristen wears makeup more often than I do, she has to take it off,” he said. “I’m not in that stuff that often, so I only have to [shower] when either a smell is present or I’m in that stuff.”

Jake Gyllenhaal ALSO admitted he too isn’t an avid shower-goer. Check it out here!
