Kristen Stewart channels Princess Diana in ‘Spencer’ teaser

Kristen Stewart is giving serious “The Crown” vibes as she takes her turn playing Princess Diana in the first teaser for director Pablo Larraín’s upcoming drama “Spencer.”

Stewart, 31, portrays a stressed-out-looking Lady Di during a holiday with the royal family at their Sandringham Estate.

“Spencer” will follow the late Princess of Wales (née Diana Spencer) during the course of a three-day period in 1991. A series of events will unfold during the Christmas season as Diana tries to end her marriage to Prince Charles, played by Jack Farthing, 35.

Timothy Spall, Sean Harris and Sally Hawkins also star in the much-anticipated flick.

While the short trailer doesn’t have much dialogue, at the very end of the clip, Hawkins’s unnamed character says, “They know everything” — to which Stewart’s Diana simply replies, “They don’t.” It’s highly possible the “they” that the two characters are referring to is The Firm.

The footage also shows flashes of Stewart-as-Diana dancing in a ballet outfit, playing with her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, posing in front of photographers and wearing several of the princess’ iconic looks.

Other scenes include a snapshot of Prince Charles looking worried and a peek of the royals sitting down for a Christmas feast together. In one blink-and-you-missed-it clip, Diana and Charles pose for a family portrait alongside Queen Elizabeth, her sister Princess Margaret, their mom Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother and the rest of the extended Windsor clan.

The biopic will hit theaters globally on Nov. 9. However, the film will first premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Sept. 3.

Diana was previously portrayed in the Netflix series “The Crown” by Emma Corrin during the early years of her marriage to Charles.

The timing of the trailer’s release is almost poetic as the anniversary of Princess Diana’s death looms. Aug. 31 will mark 24 years since her passing in a tragic car accident in Paris.
