“Loki” Star Wunmi Mosaku Says She is Comfortable with Her Look and Flaunts it at every Given Opportunity

“Loki” star Wunmi Mosaku, who continues to bless the entertainment industry with her acting prowess, has confirmed she is unfazed by the pressure on women in Hollywood. She is comfortable with her look and flaunts it at every given opportunity.

Nigerian-born British actress Wunmi Mosaku has been turning heads after her warrior role in “Loki.” However, her woman power and strength aren’t all on-screen, as the actress has proven confident both on and off the set.

Mosaku, who is also a “Lovecraft Country” star, was talking about the HBO horror fiction in an interview when she revealed that she loves her skin color and is confident in her looks.


Living in a world where racism has been a constant issue, Mosaku has had her share of discrimination. She shared interesting details about people of different colors during the interview.

According to the British actress, she can still be referred to as Ruby (her character on “Lovecraft Country”) in the real world. Ruby Baptiste was a black lady and the half-sister of Leti, who died and woke up in the body of a white woman.

The movie star explained that she and her family have had first-hand experience with colorism, amongst other prejudices. For Mosaku, the movie’s storyline still applies to the present world, and although times have changed, the problem of racism persists.

The 35-year-old actress had some emotional moments while shooting the horror movie. She revealed that she understood Ruby’s actions of constantly changing into a white woman, but Mosaku described the action as “anti-loving oneself.”

However, this aspect of Ruby’s world which involved changing into a different person is the opposite of what Mosaku is about. The star appreciates her looks, and a couple of Instagram posts shows her confidence.

Mosaku, 35, once shared a set of photos on Instagram that got her fans gushing. She looked as flawless as ever in a lemon maxi dress as she kept her full figure on display.

During another discussion on the latest Marvel series, Mosaku revealed that she didn’t know she would be auditioning for “Loki. “

She got Instagram steaming again when she posted a series of images from a photoshoot. The first image features a fashion style that made her dark skin stand out.

The actress rocked a low-cut hairstyle with a dark ensemble in a different snap. And, red never looked better on anyone as it did on Mosaku in an image where she spotted a red V-neck collar dress with matching red lipstick.

The “Sweetness in the Belly” star enumerated power and strength in a post that showed her in her warrior costume for “Loki.” She also shared photos of other cast members as she celebrated the movie, which was to premiere on Disney plus.


Also famous for playing Joy on “Two Moses Jones” in 2009, Mosaku was born on July 31, 1986, in Zaria, Nigeria, before moving to England with her parents.

She attended Trinity Church of England High School and graduated from Xaverian Sixth Form College and Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She made her stage debut at the Théâtre Arcola.

Mosaku started her acting career with the movie “The Women of Troy” as Helen of Troy. In 2008, she featured in the National Portrait Gallery’s first exhibition, which focused on improving the importance of black models.

Over the years, Mosaku has become fans’ favorite with her roles and skills. In 2010 she starred in “Womb as Erica I Am Slave” as Malia, and In 2011, she played Marie in “Citadel.”

Other movies Mosaku has made significant appearances in include 2016’s “Dawn of Justice,” “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” “Leading Lady Parts,” in 2018, “Sweetness in the Belly” in 2019, and 2020’s “His House.”


Mosaku starred as Hunter B-15 on the MCU-set series, “Loki.” Her character helped to protect the sacred timeline from Loki Laufeyson and others with evil intentions. Speaking about the TV series in an interview, the actress explained that the experience was thrilling.

The 35-year-old actress noted that it was fun being someone who is different from what the world permits one to be. Mosaku sure loved the fights, arguments, and her character’s mean personality. The star went on to say:

“So it was a lot of fun to play against Tom and even Mobius [Owen Wilson]. They’re not all in sync, and I loved it.”

Her character, Hunter B-15’s movement during her portal entrance into the Gobi desert made it obvious that she was the Head of all TVA Hunters. And, when asked if her smooth steps were part of the instruction, Mosaku noted:

“It was definitely a character choice, but the costume also dictates how I move in it as well.”

As “Loki” continues to rock the movie industry, Mosaku remains top of the headlines. In a different interview, the actress revealed that being with Marvel was wonderful and comfortable. Also, having familiar faces as cast members made things easier.

Mosaku is quite acquainted with Tom Hiddleston (Loki), and she has known the actor since she was 18-years-old. They went to the same dramatic art institution and Mosaku, 35, noted that he is just as friendly as he was when she first met him.

Although the two stars have known each other for quite a while now, “Loki” is their first project together. Hiddleston was Mosaku’s senior in drama school, and he graduated a year after she entered.


During another discussion on the latest Marvel series, Mosaku revealed that she didn’t know she would be auditioning for “Loki. ” She also talked about how making her role on the series was a surprise.

Other cast members on the show include Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, and Erika Coleman. The series continues to expand, keeping fans entertained.
