‘Look at his wee face’ – Rangers hero’s return has these Gers fans overjoyed

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is back with Steven Gerrard’s squad ahead of this afternoon’s Premiership clash with Dundee United at Tannadice – and Gers fans are buzzing to see El Bufalo training with his teammates again.

Morelos has had to spend time in quarantine following his return from Colombia, having only had a few days off after Copa America, and could make his return to action this afternoon against the Arabs.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard confirmed yesterday that Morelos has only had a couple of sessions since his return so it seems unlikely that he’ll be in the starting XI today.

Having been involved at Copa America, Morelos’ fitness shouldn’t be too far off and the Colombian international will almost certainly make an appearance for Rangers from the bench this afternoon at some stage.

However, with the second leg of the Champions League tie with Malmo on Tuesday night, Morelos’ return has come at just the right time for Rangers.

The Gers trail the Swedes 2-1 on aggregate but host Malmo at Ibrox on Tuesday night with the club’s all-time record European goalscorer available.

After the Gers’ official Twitter account shared an image of the Ibrox talisman at the club’s training ground, fans were delighted to see Morelos back at work.
