A 41-year-old marketing director who police say fatally stabbed his girlfriend, 22, has been described as a “sex addict” and “woman-hater”.
A UK marketing director who fatally stabbed his girlfriend before killing himself was a “woman-hating sex addict”, a former friend has claimed.
Maddie Durdant-Hollamby, 22, was found dead beside Ben Green, 41, in an apparent murder-suicide earlier this week.
Police have said they are not seeking anyone else in connection with Ms Durdant-Hollamby’s death which they are treating as murder.
A former friend of Green said he often bragged of bedding hundreds of young women, The Sun reports.
Many of the flings were said to have taken place when the father-of-three was still married, with one of the houses he used for ‘dates’ near his family home in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
The friend said Green targeted his conquests in a “chilling and calculated” manner – and had no respect for the women who he treated as his “property”.
He is thought to have been dating marketing executive Ms Durdant-Hollamby for around a year after meeting her at work.
Police believe he killed her last Friday at his Kettering home before taking his own life in the property.
The bodies were discovered shortly after 1pm following a report of concern for her welfare.
It is understood they had discussed splitting up.
Green’s former friend, who claimed to have known him for one year, said he believed Green would have been with hundreds of women in that time.
“I have never known anything like it. He would be having sex with eight women at the same time while married with kids,” the former friend said.
“He had homes across the country that he would rent, staying in Kettering, Liverpool and other places.
“Ben was prolific. He was a monster and a woman-hating sex addict.”
The former friend said many of Green’s dates were in their late teens.
“Ben liked women much younger than him,” he said.
“He had zero respect for his conquests and would be so rude to them.
“It was chilling the way he always said he would get what he wanted. He treated women as his property.”
Maddie was originally from Wimblington in Cambridgeshire, where dad Steve, 48, and mum Rachel, 47, still live.
In a tribute, her parents said: “Maddie was a kind, caring, and thoughtful young woman, who touched the lives of everyone she met.”
