Malia White Says She Can’t Find A ‘Better Boss Babe’

Below Deck Med star Malia White is counting her lucky stars. She finally has a chief stew that she gets along with. Just a few hours before the new episode, she took to social media to share her appreciation for chief stew Katie Flood. Since she’s made her big debut during Season 6, the reaction has been mixed.

Some fans love Katie and her work ethic. However, some noticed that she doesn’t give much attention to tablescapes or event planning. Others love how relaxed and approachable she is when she comes to her interior team. Yet, when it comes to controversial stews like Lexi Wilson, Katie is a bit tongue-tied and wishy-washy.

Regardless, Malia makes it clear that she loved working with her.

Malia White shows support for Katie Flood

On Monday, September 6, Malia White took to Instagram to share two selfies of herself with the chief stewardess. The bosun took the opportunity to praise Katie’s work ethic. She defended Katie and said that she’s “been busting her a$$ this season!” Malia added that she “couldn’t have asked for a better boss babe to lead with.” Scroll down to see one of the photos below.

Malia and Katie aren’t the only female bosses on board. They join Captain Sandy Yawn, who’s been part of Below Deck Med since Season 2. Katie took to Malia’s post to write, “Could not have done it without you.” Most fans agreed that Katie is the best chief stew they’ve ever seen on the show. Others loved the girl power between the two.

What about Bugsy Drake?

Some Below Deck Med fans were confused by Malia’s post. They wondered if she was throwing shade at former chief stew Christine “Bugsy” Drake. Fans recall when Malia and Bugsy were best friends. They got along really well, especially when they first worked together on Season 2.

“What about Bugsy?” one fan wrote. Another added, “Agreed, and don’t forget Bugsy. But either way, definitely most appealing goddesses.” Some fans noticed how beautiful the two ladies looked together. Some thought they made a “cute couple,” while others said they’re both “boss ladies.”

Below Deck Med star has some regrets about Hannah’s firing

There’s one chief stew that Malia didn’t get along with and that was Hannah Ferrier. In Below Deck Med Season 5, the bosun found an unregistered prescription for Valium and a CBD pen since they shared a cabin. Malia just argued with Hannah about the cabin arrangements. She wanted to bunk with her ex-boyfriend, Chef Tom Checketts.

Hannah didn’t want to share a cabin with Bugsy. So, the two argued about it instead of talking it over. Malia sent the photo of Hannah’s belongings to Captain Sandy and the rest is history. Hannah found herself packing and leaving the boat.

In a previous interview, Malia admitted that she regrets how it went down. However, she doesn’t regret the decision that she made. Malia felt she had to report it because it was about Maritime law.
