During lockdown we had to make do with trimming our out-of-control locks ourselves.
But one handyman has taken a DIY haircut to a whole new level, by using a sprit level from his tool box in order to cut his wife’s hair evenly.
You can watch the video in full here.
In a video posted to TikTok account @ramboave, wrote: “Asked my handy man husband to cut my hair ….”
The husband can be seen brushing through his wife hair and as he prepares to trim it, he reveals his secret weapon.
A spirit level – to make sure he cutting the hair evenly of course.
As you can imagine, this took his wife by surprise as to be honest, it’s the last thing you would expect to see when getting a haircut.
Her husband places the tool up to her back to see where to cut, as the text then reads: “Is that a f***ing level???”
In the time-lapsed clip, the tool clearly seems to work for the amateur hairdresser as the end result shows he has cut his wife’s hair perfectly straight.
“Nailed it,” the text read as the wife’s new haircut was shown to viewers.
So far, over 1.3m people have viewed the hack since it was posted two days ago.
The comments were flooded with people marveling at the husband’s thorough hairdressing skills with unconventional tool.
One person asked: “Is he taking appointments?”
“I love that he brought out the level… and triple checked. Measure thrice, cut once,” another person wrote.
Someone else added: “I’m a hairstylist and never thought to use a level! Great idea!”
“He put so much effort and concentration into that, loved the spirit level. Well done!” A fourth person commented.
Though it appears the TikTokers aren’t the first to utilise a spirit level for haircutting.
Someone else added: “My husband who’s an engineer cuts my hair with a level too. I thought I was the only one. I’m so happy someone out there shares the madness.”
