McDonald’s Monopoly returns this week with new VIP card and more prizes

McDonald’s Monopoly is finally coming back – and we’re all very excited.

From August 25 (Wednesday), customers will be able to get tokens with all purchases made in stores.

It’s been a long time since we’ve played the game, since the coronavirus pandemic kind of got in the way.

You’ll be able to pick up the prizes at all restaurants and there’s even an incredible twist to get excited about.

The VIP experience is the first time McDonald’s is offering such a thing with 1,000 gold cards ready to be won.

Cardholders will get one free medium meal every week for a full 12 months at their local restaurant.

Posting on Twitter, the fast food giant said: “Let’s try this again, shall we?

The postponement of McDonald’s Monopoly in 2020 came after 200million pieces had been printed and dated on the packaging.

But in an attempt to keep the amount of waste down, the pieces have been repurposed so the game can still go ahead.

Because of the issue, McDonald’s is urging customers to head over to the website in order to check the expiry dates.

And make sure you do because you could potentially miss out on some awesome prizes

But you don’t have to wait until the six-week game begins as the restaurant is offering 10 of them to customers who use the app.

The fast food giant said: “It’s time to roll out the red carpet for 10 lucky Monopoly superfans!

“McDonald’s is offering customers the chance to win a McDonald’s VIP Gold Card.”

To get involved, all you have to do is register and enter through the My McDonald’s app.
