A chef has shared a recipe for crispy and cheesy roast potatoes that had viewers salivating for more.
In a video she uploaded on her @poppycooksTikTok channel, Michelin-trained chef Poppy O’Toole shows how to get cooking her “favourite” potato recipe.
Demonstrating her method in the clip, she says: “You’re gonna need some potatoes, just chop them straight up into little cubes and they’re going to go into cold, salted water and you’re going to boil them for about 15 minutes until they’re just tender.
“Then you’re going to steam-dry them – put them in a colander and leave them to dry themselves off.
“In the oven, place a tray of hot oil and then toss in your little potatoes for around 15 minutes until they’re just golden like that and just so crispy.”
The potatoes already look out of this world, but Poppy says you can elevate the flavours even further.
She continues: “I’m going to throw some rosemary on there, a bit of garlic, a bit of parmesan, and then just dig straight in.”
Poppy promises they will taste “heavenly” and viewers seem to agree – with the video racking up 5 million views and thousands of comments.

One fan joked: “Why are you making me hungry at this time of night?”
“This is graphic, mouth-watering, tempting…” commented a second viewer.
Someone else confessed: “This makes me hungry for potatoes but I’ve just eaten.”
Another viewer wrote: “Did this today. Best potatoes I’ve ever had.”
“I refuse to eat roasties out now since making yours,” said another convert.
Poppy’s new recipe book was released in September and celebrity chef Nigella Lawson has confessed to being a fan herself.
The chef, who calls herself a “potato queen”, also has a mouthwatering Instagram page where she shares even more recipes.
