The UK is currently experiencing delays and shortages on everything from fuel to household essentials.
Many Brits are concerned what that might mean for the festive season ahead and Christmas isn’t quite complete without the delicious spread. But that’s where supermarket Morrisons has come in to not only save the holidays, but to keep customers stocked up ahead of time.
Morrisons has announced that its Christmas Food to Order collection slots are now available to book.
Customers can browse a range of starters, mains, sides, desserts, party food and drinks – which includes vegan and gluten free options.
Orders can be made now, up until December 14, collection slots are available between December 21 and 24, you’ll also be able to choose collection from 463 stores.
Morrisons wants to help customers spend as much quality time with friends and family this festive season, so whether it’s an epic brunch, a turkey roast or a festive party, its range of delicious food makes it easy to whip up a feast in no time.
Hannah Kilburn, Buying Manager at Morrisons, said: “We know how early some of our customers like to plan for Christmas and our festive Food to Order service is going to help them do just that. Customers will be able to find everything they need from feasts to feed the family, intimate dinners with a loved one or parties with friends.”
Also available in Morrisons Food to Order range are turkeys starting from just £13.96, award-winning vegan options including The Best Vegan Vegetable Wellington (£5) and showstopper desserts such as a Fresh Cream Strawberry Gateau (£8).
Customers can also reserve some of Morrisons award-winning wines including The Best Barolo (£15) which picked up a coveted gold medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition and is perfect for pairing with Christmas dinner.
But that’s not all, if you’re looking for another award-winning tipple, Morrisons has more than one.
A £10 bottle of red wine from Morrisons has been named as one of the best on shelf by industry magazine Decanter.
Morrisons The Best Toscana won against 45 pricier bottles, including one that is an astonishing eight times the price. It was awarded 92 points out of 100 – one of the highest scores given by the magazine.
To celebrate the win, Morrisons will be reducing the price of the bottle to £8.50 from October 13 – November 2 to allow even more of its customers to sample the award-winning wine.
