The woman, called Alyssa, started off the post by showing her little girl, not long after she arrived into the world, with a dark mop.

Hinting at what was to come, she wrote: “And people said she would lose all of her newborn hair.”

The clip then switched to show her daughter – now eight months old – with an incredible big curly hairstyle.

Her mum added: “Baby girl has a lot of hair .. and I love it.”

She looks like a grandma, but in the cutest way possible!

And a fourth added: “Whoa! That is one adorable baby with the cutest head of hair!”

While Alyssa’s daughter’s hair has grown and grown since birth, it is also very common for a newborn’s hair to fall out in the first six months’ of their life.

According to the Baby Centre, this type of baby hair loss is called ‘telogen effluvium’, and is due to natural hormonal changes following pregnancy.

While a baby’s locks may look patchy for a while, they should start growing back after the half-year point.
